Oral Sedation

Depending on the work you're having done, we offer various types of sedation.

Sedation options include:

Localized Needle Freezing - Although most people dislike needles, this is the most common form of sedation for several reasons – it's quick, relatively painless (thanks to a pre-freezing topical treatment of the area) and it wears off very quickly with little adverse affect. It also works very quickly, so it's a great choice when you want to be in and out of the dental chair quickly.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) - This is a great alternative for those who experience anxiety. Typically a mask is placed over your nose and Dr. Rossi will adjust the concentration until you are comfortable. Then work can be completed, and as soon as the work is done, you will be given 100% pure oxygen. The feeling of sedation typically wears off within a few minutes of the conclusion of the treatment and you are able to continue on normally with your day.

Pre-treatment Prescription (Pill) Sedation - If you're very nervous about having any work done on your teeth, we invite you to speak with Dr. Rossi several days prior to your appointment, so she can discuss other prescription medication sedation options available to you.
